ASHWEM BEACH

Ashwem Beach and its neighbour Morjim must be two of the loveliest beaches in the world. Elegant ribbons of slivery sand wander their way along the turquoise blues of the Arabian Sea.
The water is shallow here and safe for swimming, the sand is comfortably soft and inviting for bathing in the sun or for enjoying meandering strolls up and down the beach.
This beach is a breeding ground for the Olive Ridley turtle and as such is devoid of the commercialisation that plagues other beaches.
Numerous little beachfront restaurants serve sumptuous meals during the day, and the accommodation is often more rustic.
